Frequently Asked Questions

The consult is free, and it’s a short, low-pressure conversation rather than a session. It usually runs about 15–20 minutes. It’s typically a phone call, but I’m happy to set up a video call if you’d prefer.

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you here, I’ll tell you a little about myself and my approach, and I’ll answer any questions you have. Together, we’ll figure out whether this is the right fit. There’s no obligation to book anything afterward.

If it feels like a good fit, we’ll talk through which program makes sense for your situation and get your first session booked. If it’s not the right fit, that’s okay too. I’m happy to point you toward other resources.

Whenever you’re ready to try something different. There’s no wrong time, and you don’t need to be struggling in a particular way or to a particular degree. Many people reach out after a rough school year, a new diagnosis, or a big life change. Others simply notice the same patterns repeating and want a different approach. The free consult is a low-pressure way to find out if now is the right time.

Yes. Sessions are confidential and handled in compliance with Ontario’s health privacy legislation (PHIPA).

Sessions are not covered by OHIP, but many clients access funding through extended health benefits, Health Spending Accounts (HSAs), or the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). A receipt is provided after each session.

  • Extended health benefits: Many plans cover services provided by a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA). Check your plan for “behaviour analysis” or “applied behaviour analysis (ABA)” coverage.
  • HSAs and Lifestyle Spending Accounts: If your employer offers one, RBA services are often eligible. Check with your plan administrator.
  • Ontario Autism Program: Families registered with the OAP may be able to use their Core Services funding for behaviour consultation and coaching. Contact your OAP coordinator for details.
  • Tax credit: Fees paid to a Registered Behaviour Analyst may qualify as a medical expense for the federal Medical Expense Tax Credit. Consult a tax professional about your specific situation.
